If you’re a Non-Independent Master’s Level Clinician (LMHC, LMSW, LMAFT) and working toward independent licensure, Essential Mental Health offers the perfect place to grow your skills and confidence as you take the next step in your professional journey.
Our Pre-Licensure Clinician Program provides the structure, support, and supervision you need to thrive as a developing therapist. You’ll work with a diverse client base in a trauma-informed environment, receive regular individual and group supervision from seasoned licensed supervisors, and continue training in evidence-based modalities like EMDR, DBT, and mindfulness.
At EMH, we believe in flexibility and balance—you set your own schedule, choose the clients you want to work with, and determine the number of clients you see. All clinicians are paid hourly for sessions, supervision and administrative time and you will be reimbursed for no-show sessions (for commercial insurances, and when you choose to charge.) All staff receive PTO to use how they choose (not just sick time.) Full-time employees (20+ clients weekly) receive a monthly medical insurance/wellness stipend and can be reimbursed monthly for personal volunteer hours.
We know the path to independent licensure can feel daunting—but you don’t have to do it alone. At Essential Mental Health, you’ll join a collaborative, growth-focused team that’s invested in your professional success and personal well-being. If you’re ready to build your clinical identity, strengthen your skills, and prepare for independent practice, we’d love to meet you.
